The house was owner built in 1950 using only lumber
and stone harvested on-site with the exception of the Port Orford cedar
used in the decks. The Douglas fir and, redwood was felled and milled
on-site. It's architecture and construction is quite typical of the
authentic Oregon Woodsman. That is to say, it's built like a brick shit
house.
